Is a Longarm Within Your Reach - Installation at New Threads Quilt Shop, Showroom Demos, Quilter Jo Avery's Moxie and more!

Despite the global pandemic the past year has been a busy one for crafters everywhere.

Lockdown has led to many looking at projects bought in an inspiring retail shop or at a show pre Covid which had been consigned to the "to do" project box. Our stashes grew ever larger but maybe in 2020/2021 some of those projects were cut and sewed. Hooray!

But...

It's not a quilt until it's quilted!

If you're one of the many piecers who find the quilting difficult because you have a domestic machine that just can't take the bulk of the quilt then a longarm may be the answer.

Our Facebook Live on 17th April 2021 we did a LIVE walkaround of our Pinhole Quilting showroom.

You can view it in the You Tube video below or on our Facebook page -

Read on for more about the Handi Quilter Longarms and a recent installation at a New Threads Quilt Shop in Hampshire.

Options are increasing as to how this can be achieved. You can send your quilt away to be quilted with a longarm quilter. We have a list on our website.

You could get one for yourself. Our Handi Quilter longarms start at £4,995 for a longarm machine with frame and everything you need for free-motion quilting. We can take you through the options, either on a Zoom or in person, now that our showroom has opened up. The Moxie is a beautiful 15" longarm and we love it!

On Thursday this week we had in-person visitors test driving the Moxie on Loft Frame, the Capri 18" Longarm sitdown stationary machine compared to the Moxie moveable 15" machine, customers buying rulers and Zoom demonstration of our saddle stool selection.

For now we are doing in person demos but later in the year we're planning Try Before You Buy sessions and Open Days, once the Covid regulations allow us to do so.

The other alternative is to rent time on a longarm. Contact us to find out about the places where rental is possible either now or when Covid allows.

New Threads Quilt Shop near Andover just took delivery of their Amara Handi Quilter 20" Longarm with Pro-Stitcher. We're excited to see how Meg Leach uses it to help her customers finish more quilts. Meg's posts on their Facebook page will keep customers up to date with progress and shop reopening. New Threads Facebook Page.

Below are some photos from the installation at New Threads. So, if you're thinking about a longarm - it may not be beyond your reach!
